My Story
I’m Sara, (Sarz) founder of Start Ups and Socials by Sarz, a boutique marketing brand built for small businesses, tradie teams, and dynamic duos who want strategy with sass and support with substance.
I’m a lifelong learner, a bookworm with a brain that never switches off, and a woman who thrives on bettering herself and those around her.
My journey began over 18 years ago, working alongside tradies in the licensing world, first as a Licensing Officer, then Senior Licensing Officer, and eventually as a Subject Matter Expert for the electrical licensing platform.
I am currently completing a seconded role as the Internal communications Advisor. I know the ins and outs of the industry, the paperwork, the pressure, and the people and I bring that depth into everything I do.
But I didn’t stop there. I dove headfirst into the digital space, soaking up everything I could in this ever-evolving environment.
From social media strategy to content creation, I’ve built a toolkit that’s equal parts creative and practical, perfect for businesses who want to stand out without selling out.
I’m also the marketing mind behind our family business, Garage and Roller Door Services a residential garage door repair, installation, and automation company that I’m deeply passionate about.
My husband and I often joke that he's the hammer and I'm the pen! I manage all the socials and marketing, blending technical know-how with a personal touch that makes our brand feel like home.
When I’m not juggling campaigns, calendars, and cheeky captions, you’ll find me connecting dots and people.
I’m a proud core committee member of the Businesswomen of Melbourne, a powerhouse group of women in the Western Suburbs who connect, collaborate, and celebrate each other’s wins.
I’ve got my finger on the pulse of local events, resources, and opportunities, and I love bringing people together to grow their businesses and their confidence.
